This letter comes from our home, but it speaks for so many homes just like ours. In our house, football is life. My son wants to play in the NFL one day, so the game matters here in a way that goes far beyond Sundays. And our team is the Buffalo Bills, not just because of wins or stats or playoff appearances, but because of who you are as individuals and athletes! Because of the character you show. Because of the way you carry yourselves when the lights are brightest and when the season ends sooner than you dreamed.

Watching you after this season ended was heartbreaking, not because of the loss itself, but because of how deeply you cared! You stood at the podium devastated, owning it, not deflecting blame, not pointing fingers. Your thoughts weren’t about yourselves; they were about your teammates and about us, the fans. That kind of accountability is rare anywhere, but especially in the NFL. It takes men of real class to shoulder responsibility like that and our children are watching. My child is watching those moments as much as he is the ones on the field!

The media will always chase a narrative. This season it’s been that paths were cleared by other QBs missing the playoffs, that opportunities were given and not earned, and that expectations somehow change the work required. But Bills Mafia knows better. We’ve watched this team go toe-to-toe with the league’s fiercest opponents year after year and prove, over and over again, that you belong at the top. We don’t want to win a Super Bowl because they said it was handed to us. We want every single formidable opponent to be in the playoffs and to watch you beat every single one of them! Because we know that is what this team is capable of!

Josh Allen, you have proven time and time again that you are one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the league, not just because of arm strength or athleticism, but because of leadership and resilience. My son stood on the field at Highmark Stadium, looking around with absolute certainty that one day he could wear that jersey. He could play on that field. He could be part of that team. He believes that dream is possible because of the example each of you sets every day!
