A Little About Us

Travelers ~ Foodies ~ Adventure Seekers ~ Teachers ~ Family

Our story began in 2011 with a job interview at a local restaurant… and just nine months later, we opened a restaurant of our own, The Farmers Table. For the next eight years, we poured our hearts into growing our business, adding multiple locations and even a food truck until the pandemic brought it all to a halt.

In that moment, we faced a big decision: rebuild the business or shift focus. With two young children and the hope to have more, we chose family! Thus our new story began, one of travel and adventure!

We’re not a full-time travel family. We don’t have unlimited time or money. But we do have intention, planning, and a deep desire to create unforgettable memories. Every adventure we take is the result of budgeting, saving, researching (a lot), and finding creative ways to make travel doable with kids of all ages. With these skills we have learned the world is more accessible than we once thought!
